Key Responsibilities: Teaching: Develop and deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions on various pharmacy subjects, such as pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, and pharmacy practice. Design and update course curricula to align with industry standards and evolving knowledge. Create engaging and innovative teaching materials, including textbooks, presentations, and online resources. Assess student learning through exams, assignments, and projects. Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills. Research: Conduct independent research projects in areas of interest within pharmacy, such as drug discovery, drug delivery systems, pharmaceutical analysis, and clinical pharmacy. Collaborate with other researchers and industry partners to advance knowledge and develop new pharmaceutical solutions. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences. Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in their research endeavors. Academic Administration: Serve on departmental and university committees, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making. Participate in faculty governance and contribute to the development of academic policies. Advise students on academic matters, including course selection, research opportunities, and career paths. Engage in service activities, such as serving on editorial boards, reviewing grant proposals, and participating in professional organizations. Qualifications: A Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in pharmacy or a related field is typically required. A strong academic background with a focus on pharmacy, including coursework in pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, and pharmacy practice. Extensive research experience, including a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Excellent teaching skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
